“A blended home is not built in one big announcement. It is built in the small choices people can trust.”
Five real moments
1 The First Holiday
2 “You’re Not My Dad”
3 Meeting the Kids
4 Two Houses, One Week
5 The Decision Point
Who it’s for
Two histories. One roof. A lot of firsts.
Every person arrives with routines, memories, loyalties, losses, and hopes. One child may be excited. Another may feel unsure. Your partner may be ready to move forward while a child needs more time. Nobody has to have the same reaction for this family to begin building a shared home.
■ Fathers entering a blended household
■ Fathers whose partner’s children are moving in or spending time in the home
■ Stepfathers who want to earn trust without overstepping
■ Fathers protecting each child’s sense of belonging
What this is not
✕ Not a co-parenting course about arguing with an ex
✕ Not therapy, mediation, or legal advice
✕ Not a promise that a child will accept a stepparent on a timeline
✕ Not a script for making kids call anyone “Dad” or “Mom”
If there is abuse, active hostility, a child in crisis, or a situation that feels unsafe, prioritize safety and appropriate professional support.
The course map
Five audios for five moments.
Listen in order if your household is just beginning to merge. If a flashpoint is happening now, start with the audio that matches it.
1
The First Holiday
Two traditions meet
Plan a holiday that makes room for more than one history, without treating one family’s tradition as the default or turning the day into a loyalty test.
“You don’t have to give up a tradition to prove you care about this family.”
2
“You’re Not My Dad”
A child rejects the role
Hear it without arguing over the title, retaliating, or walking away from appropriate care. Respect the child’s truth and still act like a safe, responsible adult.
“You’re right, I’m not your dad. I’m an adult who cares about you.”
3
Meeting the Kids
A new partner enters
Introduce a new spouse or partner honestly and at a low pressure. An introduction begins familiarity; it doesn’t establish instant family.
“You don’t have to decide what you think about this today.”
4
Two Houses, One Week
Moving between homes
Reduce transition confusion without making your child the messenger, the witness, or the referee. Two homes don’t have to become identical.
“You don’t have to manage messages between the adults.”
5
The Decision Point
Choosing your home’s culture
Name what to keep, what to create, and what to revisit. A blended home becomes trustworthy through repeated choices, not one announcement.
“We’re not asking anyone to forget where they came from.”

After the series
What you’ll be ready to do.
✓ Prepare for a shared holiday without treating one family’s tradition as the default.
✓ Hear “You’re not my dad” without demanding a different title or retaliating.
✓ Introduce a new spouse or partner without requiring kids to act like one family immediately.
✓ Make a weekly transition plan that respects the different homes your children move between.
✓ Name the household culture you want to build, and choose one small action that supports it.
Shared Home Ground Rules
No child owes instant closeness.
The Merge never asks a child to use a title, show affection on a timeline, or carry the adults’ decisions.
1 Every child belongs here.
2 No forced titles.
3 No child as messenger.
4 Adult decisions stay with adults.
5 Safety before harmony.
Your guide
Real talk for the hard parts of building one home.
I’m Spence Harris, The Daddiez Coach. I believe a blended family should never ask a child to erase the people, memories, or traditions they already love just to make room for something new.
The Merge is for the moments that can leave a father unsure what to say or do: the first holiday, the first introduction, the “You’re not my dad,” and the decisions that shape life under one roof. We’ll make room for honest feelings, clear roles, steady boundaries, and connection that grows at a child’s pace.
Each audio gives you a real moment to consider, a practical next step, and words you can actually use. Scripture is part of how I teach, offered with care—not used to pressure a child or rush a family’s process.
You don’t have to force closeness to begin building trust. You can lead with patience, protect each child’s sense of belonging, and keep showing up while this new home takes shape.

Before you start
Straight answers.
Do I have to listen in order?
No. Listen in order if your household is just beginning to merge. If a flashpoint is happening now, go straight to the audio that matches it, then come back to the others.
How long does it take?
A 3–4 minute welcome and five audios of 8–10 minutes each. About 45–55 minutes of listening in total.
Is this a co-parenting course?
No. The Merge is for the inside of the new household: your children, your partner’s children, and any children you share learning to live together. It’s not about arguing with an ex.
Will this make my stepkids accept me?
No course can promise that, and this one won’t. The Merge helps you act with patience, clarity, and consistency, so trust has room to grow at the child’s pace.
Is it faith-based?
Yes. Each audio is anchored in one Scripture passage, explained in context, and never used to pressure a child into affection or forgiveness.
Is this therapy or legal advice?
No. It doesn’t replace therapy, mediation, or legal guidance. If there’s abuse, active hostility, or a child in crisis, prioritize safety and professional support.
Built in the small choices people can trust.
